General Dispatch Information:

Call-Out

The online call-out is a service for our members and is limited with specific information. Refer to the audio callout or inquire with our dispatch department for more detailed information.

For actual daily amount on Living out Allowances (LOA) please go to http://www.boilermakers.ca/content/index.php/dispatch/subsistence-rates

Members residing 40 kms or more outside the city limits of Edmonton bidding on jobs must register in daily from 8 - 9 am at 780-451-5992 and enter #2 on the keypad or post online in the members section at https://members.boilermakers.ca/wsiscript/jobref.dll/

All field work requires CSTS (Construction Safety Training System) and all jobs are ASAP starts unless otherwise stated.

Welders

All Journeyman welders dispatched to Suncor, Ft. McMurray need to bring their Journeyman Welder trade ticket with them. Despite possibly holding a B-pressure ticket or tig ticket or any other welding ticket you must show your journeyman welder ticket or risk being turned around.

Travel Cards

Should there be calls open to travel cards you can register in for work between 9 - 11 am at 780-701-0020. Leave name/class/contact number and preferred job(s) with the receptionist.

Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Testing/RSAP

It is the members responsibility to ensure that your D & A tests results (when required) are confirmed negative before reporting to site. Also have photo ID and trade qualifications for orientation. All RSAP acceptable and participating sites will be shown in each manpower request as: "Drug Testing Info: Pre-Access D & A required" and in parenthesis "(RSAP OK)"

Non Members/Permits

All Non member Journeyman dispatched on permit will be required to present their trade tickets each time they are dispatched. No exceptions.
