Luc Lefebvre Family Picnic 2013

The Picnic held Saturday June 15th at Victoria Park turned out to be a pretty nice day, the clouds keeping their distance for most of the day.  This year we had a couple new additions.  We had face painters out this year creating amazing creatures and designs on kids and adults alike.  We also a cute little photo booth set up.  Your pictures from the booth will be sent out by email shortly (as soon as I get them from the photographer).  If you had your picture taken but forgot to write down an email please let me know.

The scavenger hunt, foot races (with a backwards running race this year, just to spice things up a bit!), tug of war and yes even water balloons despite all the rain we've had lately were tremendously fun!  And we once again ended the afternoon with lots and lots of candy!

Boilermakers Las Vegas Scramble Golf Tournament

The Golf tournamnet was held at The Ranch Golf & Country Club near Spruce Grove on Saturday July 21, 2012.  Our usual Vegas flare was felt through out the tournament with hidden golf balls signed by elvis, dice spinners and wheels that decide whos ball or what club would be used, slot machines and big ticket prizes including a chance to win a trip for two to Vegas.  Along with all this a slightly different suprise met golfers on the 11th hole.  We had a medi-centre complete with PARscriptions for each of the players.  At the Boilermakers Golf Tournament you never know what suprises are around the corner!

Winners at this years tournament were: Men's Longest Drive - Dan Dutkewich,  Women's Longest Drive - Linda Dixon, Men's Longest Putt - Tony Nguyen, Women's Longest Putt - Gladys Mitchell?.  Robin Cameron and Steven Whitely each took home $250 from the two QCC Closest to the Pin Challenges and Victor Green won the $500 TIW Closest to the Pin Prize.  The Tournament Champions this year were Robin Cameron, Al Van Slyke, Walter VanLeest and Nick Gerke!  For great pictures of this event click here.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our golf tournament this year and to all those who donated prizes and monetary gifts to JDRF, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  Saturday we made a difference!
