Golf Tournament 2011The 14th annual Calgary golf tournament was held at Heather Glen Golf Course on August 13/11 on one of the hottest days this summer. The format was best ball. The tournament ended in a tie and a deciding putt-off found the following four-some: Dennis Permann, Jesse Permann, Danny Dondlinger and Doug Rider as our Winning team of 2011! Men’s longest drive went to Doug Rider, Men’s longest putt went to Peter Hollett, and Men’s closest to pin went to Dan Ibechi. Anita Covert, the lone lady entered in the tournament, walked off with all three ladies’ trophies. This year’s event was a great success due to the generosity of sponsors who donated prizes for this tournament. Thank you to all who participated.

Childrens Christmas PartyThe Calgary Children's Christmas Party was held on Saturday, November 28 at the Ogden Legion. We had a great turn out and lots of fun. The children enjoyed making crafts, and seeing Santa, but the highlight of the party was the bouncy houses. Although it was a little wild, the children had a blast jumping around inside them! Hot dogs, chips, doughnuts and drinks were provided for lunch. A big thank you to all those who helped out with the party.
