2012 Shutdowns

As we enter into early 2012 the members of 146 have been staffing the majority of job calls, but very soon, we see the need for Travel Cards and Non-Members. We are currently planning  and preparing  for the Spring 2012 shutdowns as well as the upcoming New Construction jobs. Some Contactors are already hiring for New Construction sites such as Kearl Lake, Surmont and Enmax-Sheppard Energy in Calgary to name a few.

As mentioned earlier according to our projections and resources, the need for Travel Cards & Non-Members (Permits) will once again be required.

No “Travel Assistance Program” (TAP) has been identified as of yet for the Syncrude April 2012 shutdown (see TAP for more detailed info and rates). However, we suspect it will be in place.

It is recommended to stay in touch with our website and rumour list along with our daily job information as the days/weeks go by.
