Forms for 2012 International and Local Scholarships are available now. To qualify...

- you need to be entering the first year of a two or four year academic program at a degree-granting, accredited college or university within one year of your high school graduation.

- and be a dependent of a member in good standing (legally adopted child or dependants of active, retired, disabled, or deceased members qualify).

Scholarships are based on academic record, extra-curricular and outside school activities, career goals, and performance on a typed essay. Candidates must submit an official application, proof of relationship to a Boilermaker member, a high school transcript, and a minimum 350 word typed essay on a specific topic. 

The essay topic for this year is: "What is your opinion of the Canadian Parliamentary system?  Would you improve it?  If so, how?"

*Application Forms must be postmarked between Jan 1 and Mar 1 2012
